The official notification states, "Direct Recruitment to the posts of Civilian Police Constable in Police - 2023 online applications are invited to fill the following vacant posts under Pay Band-5200-20200 Grade Pay 2000 in the new pay scale and Pay Matrix Rs. 21700/- for the posts of Reserve Civil Police for men and women in Uttar Pradesh Police."



Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board Renuka Mishra said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed the recruitment of 60,244 constable posts in UP Police. Subsequently, the recruitment notification was issued by the board on Saturday, outlining the distribution of posts - 24,102 unreserved, 6,024 reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS), 16,264 for Other Backward Class, 12,650 for Scheduled Castes, and 1,204 for Scheduled Tribe.

Age Limit

  • For Male Candidates – Applicants must have the age of 18 years and not be above 22 years as of 01 July 2023. Applicant needs to no longer be born earlier than 01 July 2001 and after 01 July 2005.
  • For Female Candidates – The candidate must have the age of 18 years old on 01 July 2023 and must not be above the age of 25. Candidate must no longer be born earlier than 02 July 1998 and after 01 July 2005.

Relaxation in the above age criteria may given to the applicants belonging to the reserved classes.

Educational Qualifications

  • The interested candidates must be 12th pass or intermediate from any identified board or have equal qualifications by the Government.
  • Applicants should have the ‘O’ diploma in computer training from (DOEACC) /NIELT Society.
  • Applicants should have worked in the Territorial Army for two years, or they must have a ‘B-Level’ diploma in National Cadet Core.

Written Exam

  • Subjects with marks- General Hindi ( 74 marks), General Science ( 76 marks), Mental Aptitude Test or Intelligence Quotient Test or Reasoning  (74 marks), Numerical & Mental Ability Test (76 marks)

PET, Physical efficiency test

  • Female- 2.4km cover in 14 minutes
  • Male- 4.8 km cover in 25 minutes

PMT, Physical measurement test

  • Male – Height of 168 cm, chest measurement with expansion 84 cm
  • Female – Minimum height of 152 cm and weight of 40 kg
